Nope! My first collection is entirely silver due to the high price of gold. Every ring that I design is taken to a professional casting studio that works in a variety of metals. Gold is absolutely available with a deposit.

The price range (in CAD $) for this collection falls between $100-400. This does not including shipping costs. Each piece is completely handmade and unique unless stated otherwise!

Yes! My customs are currently closed for September but will be open again in November, or earlier. There is a form under “Custom Work” where you can reach out and we will come up with something you’ll love. Customs can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks depending on the order and your location in the world.

There are many factors that influence the cost of a custom ring. Some factors include material used (silver or gold), the ring size (amount of metal), and the design. I will provide you with an approximate quote when you submit a custom request form.

I use a method called “lost wax casting”. I create my designs using a hard wax which is filed, melted, carved etc. before being dropped off to be professionally cast. Once I have my designs back in metal, that’s when I sand, polish and/or set any gemstones.

about bolder
Bolder is what came to exist when I seriously stopped and asked myself what I would do to make money if I could do what would make me happiest; which I acknowledge with great privilege. I am completely self taught using the wax method, and do not consider myself a silversmith or traditional jeweller, but rather a jewelry designer and ‘maker’ (as the wonderful maker, Tim, puts it). I’ve always adored jewelry and working with my hands in creative ways, but my first experience making jewelry from scratch and beginning to learn what it’s all about was in a workshop by Tim in Emerald Beach, NSW – Australia.
The name bolder is inspired by the ‘boulder’ opal, which is my favourite gemstone. I enjoy that it has a double meaning maybe not to everyone who comes across the name, but to myself.
